Learning Environments
A learning environment is a space where learning happens. It includes all of the emotional, psychological, cultural, and physical aspects of the environment. It can be in a classroom, online, or anywhere learning happens. The projects below are online learning environments. I designed them to be fully accessible using the Universal Design for Learning guidelines.
Rise 360: Regular and Substantive Interaction in Higher Education
About This Project
Regular and Substantive Interaction is a federal requirement that impacts online courses in higher education. A course without regular and substantive interaction will not meet accreditation requirements, nor be eligible for federal financial aid. This eLearning module does a deep dive into the hows and whys of Regular and Substantive Interaction. By the end of the module, learners will know what RSI is in detail and be able to build it into their courses.

Rise 360: Dale's Cone of Experience
About This Project
Dale's Cone of Experience is an important educational model, but there are a lot of misconceptions about it. In this eLearning course, I sort out fact from fiction.

This project was made in Articulate Rise360. However, before the development took place, I performed a front-end and content analysis, created a design document, and engineered an assessment to test the student's learning. The design document can be viewed in the Instructional Design section of my portfolio.

Rise 360 Prototype: Making Infographics in Canva

About This Project
Canva is a free, online graphic design program. You can make some pretty slick infographics with it. No time? No worries. They have customizable templates on tap. In this Rise360 course, I will show you everything you need to know to make an infographic from a template in Canva. This project is a prototype, which means it is not in its final form. Instead of the video tutorials there are placeholders. Instead of real text there is dummy text. The assessments and assignments are in place. You can view the design document for this project in the Instructional Design section of my portfolio.
